I haven't been posting very much lately, not because I haven't been doing anything,,,quite the
opposite! Between the ceiling, the floor and scoring on 4 separate MCM pieces, I have been
the painting fool!! I swear, I'm in the middle of 5 different projects!
I got this really cool Asian inspired chest a few months ago. I knew I wanted
a glossy latex and finally settled on an emerald green (BM Emerald Isle to be exact).
The flash totally wipes out this color. It looks really flat in the photo!
I used some yellow in certain spots because I wanted it to show through the green when I
distressed some of the spots.
I just stuck it in my bedroom area for now. I'm still deciding if I want to keep it or not.
Ditto for the recycled glass table we made.
We used this "Vetrazzo" recycled glass countertop in the spare bath. This was a piece that was left over. So I drew out a table design and asked the Mr P. to build the legs out of some African Mahogany.
I think it makes an interesting, different little table.
The drawers are great!!
Now,,,,I'm having a grand time trying to find some
upper handles that 1. fit the existing holes, and 2. match the other.....
If anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears...... (it's too late to fill in the holes)

ReplyDeleteVery nice! I do love the emerald. Well done. I would add pretty clear glass knobs to the top;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous makeover!
ReplyDeleteI think I'd stick to gold for the top handles :)
XOX
good colour. like the handles gold too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful piece. I love the color. How about a wood applique of some kind to cover the holes? Thanks so much for linking up at Transformed Tuesday.
