I picked up this cute little guy cuz I missed doing the old antique stuff!
I love working on the old wood! Thought I would do my stained flower thing on this one.
But Lord have mercy!! One never knows what one is going to find when removing the drawers!!
38D anyone????? Dang. Not my size. sigh..........
I used various shades of stain. I just kind of wing it as I go. Sealed with a semi-gloss.
I layered some yellow underneath. Custom color chalk paint in a tealy-bluish. lol
Love these little owl knobs!

LMHO - is that hilarious or what?
ReplyDeleteI found a used toothbrush once and it took everything I had not to throw up all over the dresser lol - gag reflexes were in high gear that day I suppose.
BUT what a gorgeous transformation - that technique on the top - the stained flower is just amazing - I've got a dresser I've been dying to try that on - you've given me the motivation.
And those handles are too adorable -
Beautiful job!

Everything about your renovation is gorgeous!! I have to try that type of staining technique!! I've been hesitant to try it but you make it look so easy I'm going to give it a shot! Thanks for sharing, Shelly
ReplyDeleteI found a used toilet brush in an old cabinet - had to use gloves and a mask to get it out - and I will stick my hand into any roach-infested, spider-riddled place! I LOVE that color and the owl knobs make the piece.
ReplyDeleteEwww!! It's amazing. I once found a tooth! Yes someones partial! How could you misplace that???! LOL. Thanks!
DeleteWow - you are seriously talented! That flower on the top is amazing. Love the custom teal colour too.
ReplyDeleteLove the stained floral treatment! I've never tried anything like that...I HAVE to find a piece of furniture to try that on! The hunt begins...
